Dortmund

Dortmund is our next stop on 23 Feb, it was more 100km away from Bad Arolsen and took about 90mins to reach...We visited Dortmund Stadium and there are lots of gifts to buy but expensive...I was searching for fridge magnet for my new home but there isn't any... The picture on the right shows the Dortmund Stadium viewed from the Dortmund Tower..There are lots of cars around the stadium b'cos there is a football match today..Very crowded...The stadium can housed 83,000 spectators...Note: parking was €5..very expensive..

Next stop, Dortmund City (Shopping and Cafes Area)...The building has a blend of very old & new buildings...Can you see the WMF boutique, there is a sale going on but it is still more expensive than S'pore...

We proceed to Dortmund Tower (140m high) where you can enjoy the entire view of Dortmund...it was very windy and cold at the top...We paid €1.7 to go up which is cheaper than most cities tower like Taipei 101 Tower...If you dare, there is Bungee available (Can you see the Bungee platform)...

After the tower view, we have high tea at TurmTerrassen Cafe which is at the foot of the tower...We sat near the fire to keep warm, I order ice-cream at €3, only 2 scoops (expensive)...It is quite shiok to eat ice cream in the cold weather...That complete our Dortmund trip...next week,we planned for a trip to Salzburg, Austria...will keep u posted...see ya!...

Lion Castle of Kassel

On 22 Feb 08, we had a conducted Kassel City Tour where we visited Kassel's Lion Castle (Pictures above). This castle is more than 200 years old...

This is one of the waterfalls (30m high) around Lion Castle, there is less water flowing due to winter now...the guide said that it will be beautiful in May...
